Genevieve Nnaji


Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji was born on May 3rd 1979 in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria and grew up in Lagos.

Genevieve Nnaji started acting when she was 8 years old and landed a role on the Nigerian soap opera Ripples as well as acting in a number of commercials.


But Genevieve Nnaji film career didn't really start until she was a 19 year old college student going to the University of Lagos where she would audition for parts in the Nigerian film industry (also know as Nollywood.) Genevieve Nnaji first film was the 1998 movie Most Wanted.

Genevieve Nnaji has starred in over 80 films, some of which are Above Death: In God we Trust, Butterfly, Death Warrant, Camouflage, Sharon Stone, Power of Love, 30 days, Beautiful Soul, River of Tears and Ije: The Journey.


Genevieve Nnaji is one of the highest paid actress in Nollywood.

In 2004 Genevieve Nnaji became the spokes person for Lux Soap and also that year Genevieve Nnaji released a Hip-Hop/R&B album One Logologo Line,

in 2008 Genevieve Nnaji started her own clothing line St. Genevieve.
