Parts of a South San Francisco neighborhood now look like the surface of the Moon--- filled with craters and dusty ash.
Thursday night, San Bruno was engulfed in a massive fireball-- fueled by a broken gas line.
At least four people were killed, and another 52 injured -- including three people with severe burns and four firefighters suffering from smoke inhalation.
37 homes were obliterated.
Eight other homes were heavily damaged.
A Pacific Gas and Electric Company spokesman says no more gas is running through the line.
Authorities say they're still sifting through the wreckage, but some areas are just too hot.
The National Transportation Safety Board began investigating on Friday.
California's Lieutenant Governor Abel Maldonado has declared a state of emergency in San Mateo County.
