Fox Orders ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ Animated Series

As campaign ads clutter the airwaves, Fox has announced it’s giving the “Vote for Pedro” push new life.

The 2004 cult hit ‘Napoleon Dynamite,’ which featured the campaign, has received a TV series order – in cartoon form, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Gosh.

The film’s cast, including star Jon Heder, is signed up as voice talent to recreate the awkward, gawky world of high school in rural Idaho. The six-episode pick-up is part of the network’s push to create teen-friendly projects.

Fox also greenlighted seven episodes of ‘Allen Gregory’ from ‘Superbad‘ star Jonah Hill and ‘Yes Man‘ writers Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul.

Also animated, ‘Gregory’ is about the world’s most celebrated seven-year-old kid as he begins attending elementary school with average kids.
